Agnes Gombosi, 104, died Jan. 7, 2025, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Idzi and Marianna (Czuba) Gawlik. She was the wife of the late Stephen A. Gombosi for 53 years.
She was a parishioner of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish. She was a former parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member of the St. Joseph Women’s Guild and St. Joseph Roman Catholic Society.
She was a seamstress at the Muriel Dress Company. She was a clerk in her daughter’s store, Distinctive Accents. She wintered in Clearwater, Florida.
She was a secretary and past chair for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
She is survived by a son, by her son, Robert S.; three daughters, Kathleen M. Lippert, Rosemary S. Tarola and husband Gary and Maryann Hartzell and husband Robin; six / seven grandchildren, William, Robert and Marc Gombosi; Lisa Lilienthal, Dr. Nicholas, Michael Tarola and Jonathan Hartzell; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two brothers, John and Edward; a sister, Maryann Hancharick; and a son-in-law, Joseph M. Lippert.
