Rodney A. Fenstermaker

Emmaus High School graduate

Rodney A. Fenstermaker, 81, of Allentown died Jan. 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Emmaus, he was a son of the late Adam and Elaine (Burian) Fenstermaker. He was the eldest of seven children. He was the loving husband to the late Susan (Weaver) Fenstermaker with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.

He graduated from Emmaus High School.

He was one of the first employees to work at the Schaefer Brewing Company in Fogelsville when the plant opened in 1972 and he continued to work there for 30 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 12.

He was a proud member of the NRA. For many years, he enjoyed going to gun shows with his best friend, Larry.

He enjoyed reading books about the Civil War and visited Gettysburg on numerous occasions.

He was a lifelong Philadelphia Phillies fan. His favorite player was Mike Schmidt. He often talked about when he attended his first Phillies game at the Connie Mack Stadium as a child. His favorite time of the year was in September and October when he could watch both the Phillies and Eagles games.

Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his daughters, Bonnie Mainiero and her husband, Anthony and Kimberly Belles and her husband, Glen; grandchildren, Andrea Mainiero and her husband, Charles Giesler, Samantha Mainiero, Glen Belles, Chadwick Belles and his wife, Brittnay, Jacob Belles; great-grandchildren, Arianna Belles, Victoria Belles, Cameron Giesler; sisters, Donna Shively, Jane Schaffer, Nancy Lakits; brothers, Ted and Scott; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan; brother, Dennis.

Arrangements were made by Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Contributions may be made in his memory to a charity of one’s choice.

None
