Richard “Dick” P. Bingell, 88, of Whitehall and formerly of Schnecksville, died Jan. 19, 2025, in his residence at Fellowship Community. He was the husband of Madeline A. (Kern) Bingell for 66 years.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Andrew P. and Dorothy B. (Plarr) Bingell.
He was a supervisor at Mack Trucks Inc., working at both the Allentown and Macungie plants for 25 years before retiring in 1986. He was a custom metal fabricator for Penn Sheet Metal, Wescosville, 1988-98.
He was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs, where he formerly served on the consistory.
He was a former member of the Hiawatha Hunting and Fishing Club, East Stroudsburg. An all-star softball player, he was inducted into the Softball Patriots Hall of Fame.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kay E. Bingell and companion Eleana Belletieri of Allentown.
He was predeceased by a son, Chris P.; and a sister, Elinor Szabo.
There will be a calling time 6:30-7:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service 7:30 p.m., Jan. 24 at the funeral home, 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.
