It was a tough battle Jan. 4 at the Da Vinci Science Center, 815 W. Hamilton St., Allentown, but once the nitrogen gas cleared, Alvin C. Butz Corporation was voted the best ice cream creators of the day.
Their creation was called Butz Blueprint Blend.
Ingredients included milk, sugar, cookie dough bits, golden Oreos, heavy cream and vanilla.
Other competitors included B104, ATAS International Inc., WFMZ, PPL, B. Braun Inc., WDIY and Victaulic Inc.

Radio station B104 is one of eight companies competing to create the best ice cream concoction during the competition. Members include Ava DiMartini, Mandy Schnell, Jeff Warner, morning host Becca, Lisa DiMartini, Brian Shoemaker and DC.
ATAS International Inc. is another of eight companies aiming to win. Members include Mark Bus, Kevin Klursy, Jack Bus, Maria Bus, Sam Bus, Elsie Bus, Casey Bus and Caroline Reinhart.
WFMZ members at the event include Melanie Falcon as Elphaba from “Wicked,” Dustin Schoof, Madelynn Dilliard, Amy Unger, Maxwell Snyder, Jamie Snyder, Steve Snyder, Jen Dilliard as Glinda from “Wicked” and Zach Brader.
Alvin C. Butz Corporation is the people’s choice winner of the Ice Cream Wars. Members include Paige Yatcilla, Pete Schneck, Michele Diehl, Luke Yatcilla, Renee Yatcilla, Tayden Turney, Tabithe Turney, Natalie Seifert, Brooke Watson, Brianna Moyer and Christian Fungo.
B. Braun is represented by Alli Longenhagen, Alex Rasmussen, Cindy Tsurmaki, Deb Neidermeyer and Pat Witmer.
