Freedom’s swim team were 121-57 (girls) and 98-62 (boys) winners over East Stroudsburg South on Jan. 7 at Freedom.
The Patriot boys swept the 200 freestyle led by Griffin Kleinle (2:03.44) followed by Antonios Tatakis and Aiden Schankel.
Kleinle had just anchored the 200 medley relay team of Asa Lawser, Ben Rader, and Micah Lawser and out touched East Stroudsburg South’s anchor for a first-place finish in 1:57.28 to South’s 1:57.31.
Alexia Ragab, Alivia Deemer, Sofia Nabyt, and Laney Stewart won the 200 medley relay for the girls (2:05.62), and Ragab went on to win the 200 IM (2:41.15).
South won the boys 50 free and the girls 50 free, but Freedom won both 100 butterfly events with Sequoia Searfass (1:28.46) and Micah Lawser (1:00.30).
In the 100 free, Deemer came in first (58.10).
South came back to win both 500 free events, but the Patriots came in first in both 200 free relays with
Kaylee Buglino, Nabyt, Chloe Levin, and Daisy Stewart for the girls (1:59.39) and Asa Lawser, Schankel, Tatakis, and Cristian Urena for the boys (1:47.16).
Lily Campbell won the 100 backstroke (1:13.76), and Deemer came in first in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.24), as well as Rader (1:18.04).
The Patriot girls closed out the meet with Campbell, Ragab, Laney Stewart, and Deemer’s victory in the 400 free relay (4:52.06).
