Cetronia Ambulance Corps announces promotions
Cetronia Ambulance Corps has announced the promotion of two team members, recognizing their contributions and leadership within the organization.
Kim Blichar has been promoted from director of marketing and public relations to chief marketing and development officer.
In her new role, Blichar will oversee the strategic direction and execution of all marketing and development initiatives, driving growth and enhancing the organization’s public presence.
According to the news release, Blichar has been instrumental in launching several successful marketing campaigns and strengthening community partnerships, significantly increasing the organization’s visibility and support.
The CMDO develops and implements marketing, sales, and revenue development strategies to meet the current and future financial needs of Cetronia Ambulance Corps.
Blichar executes these responsibilities with a sense of urgency, applying strong leadership vision, creativity, and focus to identify additional sustainable revenue streams.
As a strategic leader, Blichar evaluates and enhances existing resource development and fundraising activities, recommends enhancements to current systems, processes, and structure, and collaborates with department leaders to maximize major gifts, corporate relations, and grant revenue.
“I am excited to step into this new role and continue to build on our successes,” Blichar said.
“Our team is dedicated to advancing our mission and making a positive impact in the community.
“I look forward to driving our marketing and development efforts to new heights.”
Blichar started with Cetronia Ambulance Corps in 2019.
Before coming to Cetronia, she served 18 years with Discover Lehigh Valley where she was executive vice president for the last eight years.
Her main function was overseeing the marketing department and majority of the sales team.
She played an integral role in rebranding the organization and winning numerous awards during her time there.
Blichar earned an Associate degree in occupational studies from the Culinary Institute of America.
She is actively involved with the Western Lehigh Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Good Shepherd Rehabilitation marketing committee, and Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Board of Associates.
She is a lifelong resident of the Lehigh Valley residing in Upper Macungie Township with her husband.
Cheryl Walbert has been promoted from Centralized Ambulance Transport Center manager to director of communication and nonemergency transportation.
She will provide oversight and management of the following areas: Centralized Ambulance Transport Center; Cetronia Ambulance Corps Communications Center; Paratransit Crew Chiefs and staff; and nonemergency scheduling of all Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support and Paratransit trips.
Her role is pivotal in ensuring effective communication, efficient operations, and high-quality service delivery across all these areas.
By clarifying responsibilities and reporting lines, the organization can function seamlessly, benefiting both staff and the community.
Walbert has demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing the CAT Center, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing service quality.
“I am honored to take on this new role and continue working with our dedicated team to enhance our services and support our community,” Walbert said.
“Together, we will ensure that Cetronia Ambulance Corps remains a leader in providing high-quality, reliable transportation and communication services.”
Walbert started with Cetronia Ambulance Corps as an emergency medical technician in 2003.
She transferred into the Communications Center in 2005, working all positions, from emergency to nonemergency dispatching.
In 2013, she moved to the Centralized Ambulance Transport Center.
Walbert graduated from Lehigh Carbon Technical Institute’s cosmetology program and the Allentown School of Cosmetology.
She owned her own salon at one point, but always had a longing for the medical field.
Walbert fulfilled her dream by becoming an EMT through the George E. Moerkirk Emergency Medicine Institute program.
She also completed her prenursing requisites through Lehigh Carbon Community College.
Walbert began her EMS career at Emmaus Ambulance Corps and Macungie Ambulance Corps as a part-time volunteer.
She lives in Alburtis with her husband, five children, dogs, cats and a horse.
She volunteers at Glendale at Stagecoach, a local horse farm.
Walbert is also the secretary of Executive Women’s International, Lehigh Valley Chapter and secretary and treasurer for the Lehigh Valley motorcycle club, the EMS Angels, which raises money to send people to Emergency Medical Technician school.
“We are thrilled to recognize Kim and Cheryl for their outstanding dedication and leadership,” said Robert F. Mateff Sr., chief executive officer of Cetronia Ambulance Corps. “Their expertise and commitment to our mission will continue to drive our success and enhance the services we provide to our community.”
