Robert Joseph Swercheck Jr., 80, of Slatington, died Jan. 13, 2025, at his residence.

The husband of Patricia (Simock) Swercheck, the couple was married 49 years.

Born Oct. 17, 1944, in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Robert Joseph Swercheck Sr. and the late Helen (Puksar) Swercheck Unkle.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era.

A computer programmer at Unisys Corp., Blue Bell for 30 years, he retired in 2006.

He was a member of Assumption BVM Roman Catholic Church, Slatington.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by sons Adam N. Swercheck (Amy) of Bethlehem, and Casey A. Swercheck (Jennifer) of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and adored grandchildren AJ, Aaron and Olivia.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Jan. 24 at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Church, 1861 Catasauqua Road, Bethlehem.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m.
