EHS names student of the week

Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am in 12th grade at Emmuas High School.

Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. Clare and Chris Harvey are my parents. My brother is Luke and my sister is Fiona, and I have two dogs; Gideon and Georgia.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. Chemistry was my favorite subject I’ve taken in high school, I enjoyed the process of thinking required.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. I’m a member of National Honor Society and I’ve been awarded midfielder of the year the last two years, players player and 2nd team all conference.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has being involved in these organizations impacted your high school experience?

A. Yes, I’ve played soccer for the high school and club, I work at a local gym and I volunteer every week at a retirement home and memory care facility. The best thing about being involved in extracurriculars is getting to know my community and being able to connect with people around me.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge to date has been altering and balancing what I prioritize and value.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. My goal after high school is to continue my athletic and academic career at Rochester Institute of Technology.

Q. If you could spend an evening conversing with an historically significant person, whom would you choose? Why?

A. I’d spend it with Miles Davis. In short, I’d love to talk with him about his choices in his music and his life.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered as a kind and generous person.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. If I had to give advice to my peers it would be to hold on tight to what matters to you.
