Students named to dean’s list

More than 1,400 York College students were recognized for their academic achievement by earning a place on the dean’s list for the fall 2024 semester. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester grade-point average of 3.50 or higher.

Bath: Anthony Hudak, senior mechanical engineering

Catasauqua: Colby Rau, senior mechanical engineering

Danielsville: Ashley Olimpo, senior nursing: RN

Walnutport: Paisley Hoffman, senior nursing: RN

Northampton: Evan Hughes, sophomore cybersecurity management; Dawson Lueders, freshman sport management

Lebanon Valley College

Schucker graduates

Cody Schucker, of Bath, is one of more than 80 Lebanon Valley College students who graduated, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in exercise science in December 2024. Schucker is a graduate of Northampton Area High School.

Lebanon Valley College, founded in 1866, offers 50 majors in the health professions, sciences, business and digital media, arts and humanities and education.

Hands-on learning, internships and research are emphasized. LVC offers five direct-entry (bachelor’s to master’s) programs in accounting/MBA 3+1, athletic training 3+2, clinical mental health counseling 3+2, engineering 3+2 and speech-language pathology 3+2 and a nationally recognized six-year doctor of physical therapy program. There are more than a dozen graduate degrees, including an MBA and master’s in clinical mental health counseling, education, exercise science and intelligence and security studies. LVC has 1,600 undergraduate and 400-plus graduate students and produces alumni who attend prestigious graduate and professional schools and are employed by top companies and school districts.

Close faculty-student relationships and mentoring are hallmarks of the LVC experience on its 370-acre campus. The college encourages student participation in athletics, with 40% competing as NCAA Division III student-athletes in the Middle Atlantic Conference, and student leadership and involvement in more than 90 clubs and organizations, many of which are community-service focused. LVC offers generous financial aid and guaranteed merit scholarships that exceeded $52 million in 2023-24. Career success is integrated into the curriculum through the Edward and Lynn Breen Center for Career and Professional Development starting the first year on campus.

Central Penn College

Alderman earns dean’s list

Heather Alderman, of Whitehall, has been named to Central Penn College dean’s list for the fall 2024 term. Of the students who took classes, 38% made this honor. To qualify, an undergraduate student must carry six or more credits and earn a GPA of 3.5 or better for the term. Alderman is currently majoring in an Associate in Science in computer information systems program.

Students attain dean’s list

Lebanon Valley College congratulates more than 900 students named to the dean’s list for the fall 2024 semester. Dean’s list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0.

Coplay: Andrew Rowland, a graduate of Parkland High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in exercise science; Syenna Young, a graduate of Whitehall High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English.

Northampton: Tyler Kauffman, a graduate of Northampton Area High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in exercise science.

Whitehall: Ryan Hausman, a graduate of Whitehall High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in exercise science.
