Peepfest draws crowds

Families filled the SteelStacks campus along First Street at Peepsfest Dec. 30 and 31, receiving free PEEPS handouts, enjoying the creativity of face painting, warming up with hot chocolate, going fishing for prizes, listening to live music and ice skating as the year 2024 closed out.

An appearance by the PEEP and photo ops with the Peepmobile preceded early evening fireworks and the official dropping of the 400-pound PEEP each day of the two-day event.

Peepsfest 2024 marks the 16th year that the world-famous marshmallow confection welcomes in the New Year.
