Fraud

A borough resident contacted police after receiving a FedEx envelope containing a check made out for more than $4,700 in payment for an outdoor advertising ad campaign followed by a text message with instructions about depositing the check, according to Macungie police. The letter supposedly came from an insurance agency. The resident told authorities he had not signed up for the ad campaign. The resident reported the incident Dec. 16, 2024, at Macungie Police Department headquarters, 21 Locust St.

Disturbance

A 29-year-old male, of Macungie, was removed from a location in the 600 block of Brookfield Circle in the borough after he allegedly made threats involving weapons Dec. 25, 2024, according to Macungie police.

Criminal mischief

Someone allegedly cut outdoor Christmas lights at a residence in the 800 block of Vine Street, according to Macungie police. The incident was reported Dec. 6, 2024.

The driver’s side of a vehicle was damaged, according to Macungie police. The incident was reported Dec. 19, 2024, in the 50 block of Lea Street and damage is estimated at more than $500, according to authorities.

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Jose Miguel Quinones Jr., 23, of Allentown, allegedly was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at a traffic stop in the 100 block of West Main Street in the borough Dec. 10, 2024, according to Macungie police.
