Holiday swimming meet held at Liberty
Liberty, Whitehall, and Allentown Central Catholic’s swim teams joined together to welcome Williamsport in a holiday quad meet on Dec. 27 at Liberty.
“Williamsport has trouble getting meets up there, and we were looking for something to do over 16 days that’s not just pounding yardage,” said Liberty coach Reik Foust. “We weren’t swimming Whitehall this year, but we swim them every year. Whitehall was supposed to swim Central tonight, so (Whitehall coach) Dave Seeloff came up with the idea to make a quad meet, and it turned out being a great meet, and we’re gonna try and have it again next year.”
