Theresa E. Zitto, 87, died peacefully Jan. 4, 2025, after battling Alzheimer’s disease for years. Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel (Gaul) Toole.

She enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed cooking as well as shopping. She was loved by all of her loving family, friends and dog, Tammy.

She and her husband, Hobart P. “Hobie” Zitto, were married 68 years. Her husband never left her side, never forgot to tell her how beautiful she was and how much he loved her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Bonnie Rubino; daughter-in-law, Maria; grandchildren, Lauren, Shannon, Ryan, Danielle, Ashley and Nicholas; six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons, Billy and Robert; son-in-law, Gene Rubino.

Services will be held 10:15 a.m. Jan. 10 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Emmaus. A viewing will be held 9-10:15 a.m. Jan. 10 in the funeral home.
