Daniel A. Guzie
Daniel A. Guzie, 67, of Allentown, died unexpectedly Jan. 2, 2025, at his home.
Born and raised in Allentown, he was the son of the late Isobel (Knappenberger) and Anthony Guzie.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, he touched the lives of everyone he met.
Known for his generosity, he often opened his home to those in need.
His booming laugh and infectious sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He proudly served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Gulf War and Desert Storm and continued his commitment to public service with the U.S. Postal Service where he worked for 34 years before retiring in 2017.
In retirement, he embraced the simple things in life.
He was an avid bowler, a passionate golfer, a fishing enthusiast, and a devoted fan of horse racing.
He also loved cheering on Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Phillies and Eagles.
Above all, he cherished his role as “Pop” to his three grandchildren who were the light of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Roxane (Patchinka); his daughter Becky Keck and her husband, Geoff, of Emmaus; son Tony and his wife, Rachel, of Bethlehem; his adored grandchildren, Lennon, 5, Nora, 2, and Michael, 9 months; his brother, Dennis Guzie, of Allentown, his sister, Donna Gilbert and her husband, Tommy, of Enola; and many cherished nieces, nephews and extended family members.
His love, laughter and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Jan. 10 at Stephens Funeral Home Inc, 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown. Call 9 a.m. until service time. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, South Whitehall.
