Coplay Sports will be holding sign-ups for the baseball and softball season noon-2 p.m. Jan. 11, Feb. 8 and March 1 and 5:30-7 p.m. Jan. 15 and 29 and Feb. 12 and 26 at the Coplay Sports Den, 666 Potter Terrace. Baseball is for ages 5-15, and softball is for ages 5-8.

A holiday cash bingo, with a $250 jackpot, is set for 2 p.m. Jan. 12 in the social hall at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 4 S. Fifth St. Doors open 1 p.m.

Attendees are asked to consider donating a nonperishable food item. Donations and bingo proceeds benefit Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., is planning a Jan. 18 chicken potpie pickup dinner. Pickup time is 4-5:30 p.m. The menu includes chicken potpie, creamed cabbage or applesauce, a roll and dessert.

Freewill donations will be accepted to help defray costs.

Coplay Food Bank, located in the lower level of the municipal building, 98 S. Fourth St., is open 8:30-10 a.m. the second Tuesday of every month. If unable to attend the Tuesday morning time frame, call Jodi at 610-262-0928 to make other arrangements.

The food bank needs coffee, spaghetti sauce and noodles, canned pasta, rice pouches and non-sweetened dry cereals. Monetary donations are always accepted.

Hometown Hero banner applications are available at the Coplay Borough office. Publicly honor your war heroes and first responders — police officers, firefighters, and ambulance personnel — with a banner.

Coplay American Legion Post 426 has an special mailbox in front of the Post at 134 S. Second St. Worn American flags can be deposited into the mailbox for the Post to properly destroy.

Looking for an inexpensive but great workout? Aerobic exercise is held 8:45 a.m. Saturdays and 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays in the borough hall auditorium. Bring dumbbells, a towel and a mat to enhance your workout.
