Carol H. Steier, 76, of Emmaus and formerly of Northampton, died Jan. 5, 2025, in Phoebe Nursing Home, Allentown. She was the wife of Frank Steier for 56 years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Helen (Guzara) Swankoski.

She was a 1966 graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School.

She was a medical receptionist for Surgical Associates and Fairground Surgical Center for many years. In addition, she was employed at GAC and The Children’s Place.

She was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Vincent, Kristin Lubinski and husband Stuart and Nicholas and wife Kelly; nine grandchildren, Jacob, Hannah, Emily, Hailey, Hutton, Noah, Braelin, Camden and Carter Caroline; four siblings, Ann Donaldson, Mary Susan Gabryluk with Bernard, John Swankoski with Jayne Seier and Eileen Stein with Robert; a sister-in-law, Barbara Swankoski; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, David Swanoski; and a brother-in-law, Richard Donaldson.

There will be a calling time 9-10:15 a.m. Jan. 10 at the funeral home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton, followed by a Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m. at the church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton, 18067.
