Do you remember when I talked about my Christmas video chat with my son in Japan? Well, I got the surprise of a lifetime when my husband flew him home for Christmas without telling me. Wow! His friend picked him up from the airport and at 10:30 p.m. when my other son got home from work, he called me to the kitchen to “show me something.” I was in total shock. I can’t tell you how amazing it has been to have him here these last few weeks. It was the best Christmas present I have ever received. Have you ever gotten an amazing Christmas present that was a total shock? Tell me about it.

Well, I don’t know how I missed this, but the Da Vinci Science Center moved from the Cedar Crest College Campus to the PPL Center at 815 W. Hamilton St. in downtown Allentown last year. They more than doubled their space and feature traveling exhibits. Currently showing is “Sharks - To be Great is to be Misunderstood.” This exhibit features life-size models and hands-on activities. On Jan. 11, there will be a wildlife weekend featuring live animals, along with animal experts and interactive fun. Check out the new digs.
