Jacob M. Reichard welcomed as head football coach

Congratulations to Allentown Central Catholic High School student Milly Wolf for being named Volleyball Player of the Year by The Morning Call. Wolf was the driving force helping the Vikettes to win the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference as an undefeated team. Vikette volleyball was ranked second in the state in Class 3A and made it to the District 11 final, where they fell to Southern Lehigh. The team finished the season with an impressive 21-1 record.
Wolf was also named Girls Basketball Player of the Week by lehighvalleylive.com Dec. 19, 2024. Wolf scored the game winning buzzer beater shot in the Vikettes’ 39-38 victory over Freedom Dec. 16, 2024. Great job to players Annika Spinosa and Morgan Seagreaves for each receiving an honorable mention.
Congratulations to Addie Kehoe-Huck for being named “Swimmer of the Meet” Dec. 19, 2024. She achieved a notable time drop in the 500 Freestyle, finishing strong in first place against Easton.
Congratulations to Vikette tennis for being named the 2024 lehighvalleylive.com All-Area Girls Tennis Team. The Vikettes, as the District 11 Class 2A champions, had three selections on the All-Area Girls Tennis first team. Great job to Bernadette Gasser, Madelyn Groff and Valentina Munoz. Honorable mention goes to Giada Montone and Carly Eisenhard.
Great job to Anna Quinn and Emerson Springs for being named to The Morning Call Girls Volleyball First Team. Grace Coppola was selected for the Second Team.
On Dec. 17, 2024, Central City Project members distributed 40 bags of groceries from the ACCHS Food Pantry. Families were also given scarves made by the ACCHS crochet club and were able to choose two toys donated by the National Honor Society Toy Drive.
ACCHS boys varsity basketball secured a 53-47 win over Parkland Dec. 23, 2024. Lucas Mushrush scored five 3-pointers in the second quarter, six overall and scored 26 points total, making this his best game of the season.

A gift card bingo, supporting ACCHS softball, will be held Jan. 17 at St. John the Baptist Social Hall, 924 N. Front St., Allentown. Doors open 5:30 p.m. for food and bingo begins 6:45 p.m. There will also be a basket raffle. Tickets include 15 hardboard games and five specials. Join ACCHS for a “Royal Tea Party” 2:30-4:30 p.m. Jan. 18 in Masson Auditorium. ACCHS partner school students are invited to this event which includes tea, juice, water, finger food, snacks and activities such as arts and crafts, face painting, story time and photos with a princess. The cost per participant will benefit the ACCHS spring musical. Attendees are welcome to come dressed in royal or princess attire. ACCHS’s annual SAT prep course will start Jan. 25. Improve your test strategies and skills to prepare for the March 8 SAT. There is a cost. Sign up forms can be found in Mrs. Lopez’s room up until the first class.
