Budget, tax rates and fee schedules approved

The Dec. 19, 2024 Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners meeting included approval for the 2025 budget as well as tax rates and fee schedules.

Approved resolutions include fees for recreational programs, rentals, permits and other township revenue.

As recently noted, the budget went through the procedures for approval and the fee schedule was approved by the commissioners.

The Homestead Exemption Tax Rate has been established at $19,950. The .25 mill library tax is included in the approved resolution.

Resolution 2024-56 was approved for the tapping fee rates.

There were bids for the sanitary sewer relining project with the lowest submitted by Kenyon Pipeline Project Inspection, LLC from Queensboro, N.Y. The amount of the low bid is $1,213,420.

The storm sewer repair project received bids – Barrasso Excavating from Oley had the lowest bid of $676,500.

Bid were received for the roof replacement project for the Lower Macungie Township Community Center with the lowest from Blair Contracting, of Allentown, for $216,400.

Bid were received for the bridge replacement project on Gun Club Road. The lowest bid was received from Professional Construction Contractors, of Bethlehem, for $548,233.

A two-year lease was approved for the office of state Rep. Gary Day, R-187th, through Resolution 2024-58.

An agreement was approved for Keycodes Inspection Agency to continue providing code inspection services.

The collective bargaining agreement for public works employees was approved.

Resolution 2024-61 was approved for the retirement saving plan through MissionSquare.

The Vipan Properties, LLC conditional use application for the Hamilton Square project will be addressed in January.
