Roughies Report: Applications for CASD speech, language teacher due Jan. 2

Catasauqua Area School District currently has a job opportunity available for a speech and language teacher/educational specialist.

As a member of the CASD team, this individual will plan, provide and assess comprehensive and individualized education, intervention and instruction for eligible learners based on speech and language impairment. This 10-month teacher contract position has an anticipated opening date of mid-January.

Lehigh Career and Technical Institute’s animal sciences and emerging health professionals programs are currently accepting applications for the 2025-26 school year. The animal sciences program is made possible by the partnership of LCTI, Lehigh Valley Zoo, Macungie Animal Hospital and Lehigh Carbon Community College, and the emerging health professionals program is made possible by the partnership of LCTI, Lehigh Carbon Community College, Penn State Lehigh Valley and Lehigh Valley Health Network.

These dual-enrollment programs are designed to give students a head-start on college and expose them to a variety of professions in animal sciences and veterinary medicine (for the animal sciences program) and health care careers (for the emerging health professionals program) through job shadows, hands-on training and clinical study at facilities across the region. The application deadline is Jan. 24.
