Parkland School Board directors elected Robert Cohen as president and David Hein as vice president for 2025 during the Dec. 3, 2024, reorganization meeting.

The votes were unanimous.

Cohen joined the board 27 years ago and has served as president several times.

Cohen has consistently expressed support for quality resources and staff for students at Parkland.

He encouraged the administration to include security as a vital part of the annual district goals.

Cohen replaces Carol Facchiano, who served as president for two years.

Hein began his first term with the board 11 years ago.

He has been active in the Pennsylvania School Boards Association and has held offices at the state level in the organization.

Hein recently voiced support for the administration as the district proceeds with building projects to meet increased enrollment, and in the budgetary process.

He replaces Marisa Ziegler, who served as vice president for two years.
