Edward D. Tomcics, 75, of Whitehall, died Dec, 25, 2024.
Born in “Darktown,” he was the son of the late John A. and Hilda A. (Dunbar) Tomcics. He was the husband of Barbara (Markle) Tomcics for 43 years.
He honorably served as a gunnery sergeant in the U.S. Marines and was stationed in Vietnam.
He was a forger for Phoenix Forge and retired after 40 years of employment.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Marcia Pacchioli and Bethany Landis; two brothers, Joseph with MaryJane and James with Linda; five grandchildren, Kaylee, Arabelle, Madasyn, Samantha and Ashlee; a best friend, Stanley Mesuch; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers, John, Robert, Michael and Daniel.
There will be a calling time 10 a.m., followed by a funeral service noon, Jan. 3 at the funeral home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay.
