Alyssa Piazza of Hellertown has been sentenced to 58-116 months in state prison for the theft of her 86-year-old mother’s estate.

Northampton County District Attorney in a statement said Piazza misused power of attorney to render her mother virtually homeless by diverting her financial estate and selling her home of almost 30 years.

Piazza was found guilty Nov. 1 of three counts of theft, financial exploitation of an older adult and abuse of a care-dependent person.
