Mildred L. Englehardt, 104, of Kutztown, died Dec. 15, 2024, in Willow Brook, Kutztown.

She was the widow of John L. Englehardt.

Born in Berks County, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Helen (Hart) Burkhart.

She was a secretary and accountant for her husband’s cutlery business for many years.

She was a member of Bethel Church of the Nazarene, Kutztown.

Having a love of doing jigsaw puzzles, she converted her dining room into a space where she completed many 500-piece jigsaw puzzles.

At age 99, she broke her hip and recovered.

The manufacturer of the medical supply company asked her to share an endorsement for its products.

At age 100, she appeared in a Meals on Wheels, Berks County, video celebrating MOW’s anniversary.

Her survivors include a son, Gary Englehardt (Gwenn Carr) of Kutztown; grandchildren Jason and Benjamin Oplinger; and great-grandchildren Dilana and Gavin Oplinger.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Loretta Oplinger.
