EHS names student of the week
Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?
A. I am currently a senior at Emmaus High School.
Q. Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.
A. My mother is Erika, my father is Vikram and my younger brothers are twins, Tyler and Jackson.
Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?
A. I massively enjoy any social science class. Whether it’s history, psychology or economics, the topics always fascinate me.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. I am a 2025 National Merit Commended Scholar, AP Scholar with distinction and I received the Paul Rockwell Diely Award my freshman year.
Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has being involved in these organizations impacted your high school experience?
A. I am a deputy editor of the opinion section of The Stinger newspaper, questioner for the EHS Debate Team and president of the EHS Mock Trial Team. These various activities have helped me connect with like-minded students, but also fostered a camaraderie with others in those groups.
Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?
A. My biggest challenge has mainly been finding a balance between pursuing academics and spending time with my nonscholastic passions.
Q. What is your next goal after high school?
A. My goal is to attend Stanford University in California, where I hope to double major in economics and international political policy.
Q. If you could spend an evening conversing with an historically significant person, whom would you choose? Why?
A. Probably Barack Obama, as I greatly admire both his character and achievements inside and outside the White House. His collectedness and the ease at which he addresses whoever his audience may be is something I strive for.
Q. For what would you like to be remembered?
A. I would like to be remembered as someone who knew how to have fun, but also achieved their academic and personal goals.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. My advice would be to live in the moment, but consider the effects of your current actions on the future you wish to have for yourself.
