John P. Riedmueller, 78, of Northampton and formerly of New York, died Dec. 16, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Joann R. (Ferrara) Riedmueller for 53 years.
Born in Durrwangen, Germany, he was the son of the late Maximillian and Elisabeth (Breckheimer) Riedmueller.
He served his country as a Spc5 in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War.
He was last employed as the director of business solutions for the John Wiley and Sons publishing company for 30 years before retiring in 2011.
Before moving to Northampton, he lived 30 years in Flemington, N.J.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John G.M. and wife Jessica of Greenwood Lake, N.Y., and Steven T. Riedmueller and Kerri Magee of Roosevelt, N.J.; a daughter, Erika E. and husband Christopher Yob of Bethlehem; two sisters, Ursula Tarsio of Vernon, N.J., and Edith Sleder of Warwick, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Eric, Samantha, Tyler, Emily, Brianna, Madilyn and Dylan; and several nieces and nephews.
