Movie enthusiasts gathered at the Hotel Bethlehem for Dinner with the Director and a showing of “Saint Nick of Bethlehem” Dec. 1. Director, lead actor and Bethlehem native Danny Roebuck played host for event.
Attendees were treated as real guests and Roebuck spent the evening mingling, chatting, answering questions and comparing life in Bethlehem and California. Several of his friends were present and shared funny anecdotes from their childhood years.
A family faith-based movie, the storyline was based on a true story of grief, loss, family conflicts, personal awareness, resolution and redemption.
Perhaps one of the most endearing aspects of this movie are the subtle references to Bethlehem. It is easy to identify with the local touches that scream BETHLEHEM and LEHIGH VALLEY. A school pendant in the background imprinted “LHS Hurricanes,” ice cream purchased from The Cup, kiffles from the Kiffle Kitchen, 69 News vehicles, Boscovs and of course Main Street casually appear throughout the film.“Saint Nick of Bethlehem” captures of spirit of the city and its people.

Saint Nick of Bethlehem director, actor, and Bethlehem native Danny Roebuck casually had conversations with guests before the screening of his movie. Roebuck grew up in Bethlehem and attended Bethlehem Catholic High School.
Bethlehem native, movie director and actor Danny Roebuck thanks Hotel Bethlehem owner Bruce Haines for his generous donation of $5,000 to the nonprofit Channel of Peace.org Channel of Peace helps finance faith-based movies and Saint Nick of Bethlehem.
