Student athletes earn honors
Lebanon Valley College, Annville, recognized more than 200 student-athletes who competed for Flying Dutchmen athletic teams this fall.
Local student-athletes include:
Samuel Bower of Germansville, Joseph Chukoskie of Kempton and Matthew Santana of New Tripoli, were members of the men’s cross-country team and were named All-Middle Atlantic Conference First Team.
All students are graduates of Northwestern Lehigh High School, and are pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science at The Valley.
The Lebanon Valley College Men’s Cross-Country team recently concluded a historic 2024 season, in which the squad won its first Middle Atlantic Conference Championship in program history.
The team finished in the top five during four of its six regular season meets, posting two wins in the process. The Dutchmen won the conference title by finishing first out of 16 teams at the MAC Championships on Nov. 2.
LVC also earned an appearance in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships on Nov. 16, where the squad finished fifth out of 29 scoring teams.
