Antonio A. “Tony” Lupi, 77, of Slatington, died Dec. 15, 2024, in his home.

He was the husband of Loretta V. (Germani) Lupi.

Born June 13, 1947, in Easton, Northampton County, he was the son of the late Victor Lupi Sr. and Disolina U. (Perno) Lupi.

He attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School, Easton, and graduated from Easton Area High School, Class of 1965.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era.

He retired as a union representative for the United Steelworkers Union in 2010.

Before that, he worked in the same capacity through the Pulp and Paper Workers Union for 26 years.

He began his career in 1970 at the former Riegle Paper Mill.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 58, Easton.

He enjoyed breakfast with his childhood friends and loved spending time with his twin grandsons, Jeremiah and Antonio.

He was of Catholic faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Christine Costello (Charlie) of Rehoboth Beach, Del., Shawn Lupi (Angie) of Mesa, Ariz., Teri Germani Barr (Tim) of Slatington, and Peter Tyler Germani (Brianne) of Lansford; brothers Victor Lupi of Phillipsburg, John Lupi of Chandler, Ariz.; and grandchildren Jeremiah, Antonio, Noah, Luciana and Petey.

He was predeceased by brothers Sebastian and Paul Lupi.

His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Dec. 19 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville.

Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Interment with military honors will conclude services at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
