A rider arrives in style to deliver gifts as part of the 14th annual Tucker’s Toy Run, held Nov. 2. Riders started at Tri-Boro Sportsmen Club, 21st and Canal streets, Northampton, and delivered more than 5,000 new, unwrapped toys for children in the pediatric unit at St. Luke’s University Hospital, Fountain Hill.
The event features a raffle to help raise money for the cause. The event is named in honor of the late Tucker Stuart, who died in a motorcycle crash in October 2011.
A bus is filled with toys to be donated. They also collected financial donations and items for local animal shelters.
Local first responders help support the event and provide an escort to the hospital.
