James W. “Jim” Osmun, 79, of Schnecksville, died Nov. 24, 2024, in his residence. He was the husband of Karen M. (Kulchycki) Osmun for 39 years.
Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late James W.S. and Catherine G. (Schell) Osmun.
He formerly co-owned the City-Vu Diner in Whitehall for two years. Earlier, he owned the Oasis Drive-In, Miniature Golf and Arcade for 12 years. He and his brother co-owned Osmun Construction, primarily a residential builder for many years.
He was a member of Upper Lehigh Lions Club, Schnecksville, where he served as president 2001-02. He organized and chaired the club’s breakfasts, as well as club-sponsored community benefit breakfasts at Community Fire Company No. 1, Schnecksville, for many years.
He was a recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow for his dedicated humanitarian service from Lions Club International Foundation.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Robert C. Osmun and wife Carolyn Darlene of Bethlehem; two nieces; three nephews; and extended family from western Pennsylvania and Ohio, including a cousin, Bill Swauger and his sons Kirk, Van and Jason.
