Grace E. Schneck

Grace E. Schneck, 91, formerly of Slatington, died on Nov. 23, 2024, under the care of Family Pillars Hospice at Parkland Manor, South Whitehall Township.

She was the wife of the late Clair R. Schneck.

Born March 17, 1933, in North Whitehall Township, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin C. and Elma S. (Newhard) Remaley.

A 1951 graduate of Slatington High School, she was an administrative assistant at Muhlenberg College, Allentown, for 30 years before retiring in 1995.

She was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.

She enjoyed traveling, spending winters in Florida, and lots of time on their boats at the New Jersey Shore, going on many vacations, trips to casinos and playing bingo with Mack Retirees and friends at the Copeechan Club.

In her words, “Life is an occasion, rise to it. Don’t be sad because I died, be happy because I lived. I had a wonderful life!”

Her survivors include daughters Tami Lee Schneck and partner, Janice Flores, of Fort Collins, Colo., and Judy Lynn, wife of Dr. Timothy S. Solan, of Allentown; siblings Dorothy V. Best of Allentown, John J. Remaley and his wife, Nancy, of Allentown, Benjamin C. Remaley Jr. and his wife, Ellie, of Benton, and Richard D. Remaley of Slatington; and many nieces and nephew.

She was predeceased by a sister, Adeline R. Miller and infant brother, Forrest.
