Joyce A. (Hudock) Stone, 80, of Schnecksville, died Nov. 27, 2024, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

She and her husband, Gary W. Stone, were married 59 years.

Born Feb. 25, 1944, in Hazleton, Luzerne County, she was the daughter of Emerson D. Luhman and Mattie J. (Evans) Luhman-Hudock and the adopted daughter of Donald W. Hudock.

A graduate of the former Allentown Hospital School of Nursing, she served on the board of directors of the alumni association.

She then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Cedar Crest College, Allentown.

She was a school nurse at Parkland High School for 22 years before retiring in 2007.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Allentown.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by sons Brian D. Stone (Katherine) of State College, and Matthew B. Stone (Debra) of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; brother Donald G. Hudock (Maria) of Hillsboro, Ore.; and grandchildren Madeline, Lilian, Milo and Garin.

Her memorial service will be 12:30 p.m. Dec. 8 in fellowship hall of First Presbyterian Church of Allentown, 3231 W. Tilghman St., Allentown.

The Rev. Kathryn Foster will officiate.

Family and friends may pay their respects noon to 12:30 p.m. Sunday before the service.
