Brian D. Rex, 51, of Slatington, died Nov. 28, 2024, in his residence.
He and his wife, Maria (Whymeyer) Rex, were married 20 years.
Born March 26, 1973, in Allentown, he was the son of Barbara A. (Benner) Rex of Slatington and the late Donald C. Rex.
He was a landscaper/laborer with Tree of Life Tree Management Service, Walnutport, for the past several years
Before that, he was a part of the custodial staff at Cedarbrook Senior Care and Rehabilitation, South Whitehall, for 20 years.
He was a member of Union United Church of Christ, Neffs.
A very special person who touched many people’s lives, he loved watching and attending both Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins games, dressing up in his disco outfits with disco ball and music as he gave out candy for Halloween, going to the fair for the demolition derby and fudge.
He loved pizza, helping his family, friends and neighbors anytime or anywhere.
He will be dearly missed by all of us.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters Kira R. Rex (fiancé, Tyler Hargreaves) of Slatington, and Danyel M. Rex (Seth Zakrzewski) of Slatington; stepson, Dustin J. Allen (Brandon Renninger) of Slatington; siblings Dianne L. Smelas (Thomas) of Schnecksville, Brenda S. Kates of Slatington, and Randy A. Rex (Sheryl) of Slatington.
