Three NWL area racers earn titles

Several riders from the Northwestern Lehigh area had successful seasons once again at the Evansville MX Park in Berwick.

Kit Kahm Jr., Mason Curtis and Addison Watt were all crowned champions for the second straight season.

Kahm earned his Championship in Class B Open Quad. He won six races in that class this season, including four straight from Aug. 24-Sept. 28. He finished with 280 points while the second-place finisher had 162.

Watt won 12 of the 14 races in this year’s Quad 90 Limited 9-11 age group to cruise to the title in that class. She also competed in the 70 Open (7-11 age group), where the fifth grader won eight races and another points title.

Curtis took the title in the Quad 90 Open 10-15 year old age group. The Northwestern Lehigh Middle School seventh grader won 11 races this season to earn the championship.

Kash Curtis finished just behind Mason in the Quad 90 Open. The fifth-grader was second behind Mason nine times and took second place in 10 races this past season. Mason ended the season with 297 points, while Kash wasn’t far behind with 258.

Gavin Lavish took third place in the Beginner 50-110. He finished in the top four in all 12 races, including three second-place finishes. Lavish earned 242 points for his performance and finished just 52 behind the class champ.
