Five Parkland runners competed in Saturday’s PIAA Cross Country Championships in Hershey.
Sophomore Harshita Keerthi ran to the best finish of the Trojan quintet. She placed 136th in a field of 237 girls Class 3A runners while finishing in 21:06.
Trojan junior Emma Carlson finished 206th at states with a time of 22:46.
Parkland’s boys contingent at states was led by junior Luke McEvoy, who finished 169th in 17:50. Senior Jorge Rinker capped his high school career with a 193rd-place finish at states, running the course in 18:03. Trojan junior Marcelo Castilla placed 211th at states, finishing in 18:20.
