The Friends of Northampton Area Public Library will be hosting a Sip ‘n’ Shop event 6-8 p.m. Dec. 6. There will be local artisans to provide you with thoughtful, handcrafted gifts for those in your life who are difficult to shop for.

With the purchase of a ticket, you receive two beverage vouchers for a glass of wine or something sparkling and a small plate of nibbles to munch as you check out the vendors. Tickets are discounted if purchased in advance.

Reminder: Early literacy storytimes continue through the first week of December.

Teen clubs will meet Dec. 9. Game club meets 5 p.m. to play a variety of video, card and board games, and the anime club meets 6 p.m. to watch anime and eat snacks.

There are still spots open for December’s adult book ornament craft hour or kits. If you request a craft kit, they will be available beginning 9 a.m. Dec. 9.

If you choose to join us for the craft hour, the party will start 6 p.m. Dec. 10. Festive snacks and beverages will be provided.

Stitch and Chat, a community craft hour focused on needlework, will be 6 p.m. Dec. 10. Bring your chosen project, and work on it as we snack and talk.

The Friends of the Library will be meeting 7 p.m. Dec. 10, and the board of trustees will meet 6:30 p.m. Dec. 12. Both meetings are open to anyone who wishes to attend. We love to see new faces.

The game club for grades 3-5 will next meet 6 p.m. Dec. 12.

A special holiday family story hour will be held 4:30 p.m. Dec. 16 in the community room. Be sure to register, so we have enough free books to give out.

The STEAM craft club for grades 3-5 will meet 6 p.m. Dec. 19.

The library will be closed Dec. 24, 25 and 31 and Jan. 1, 2025, for the holidays.
