Jane Owens Slick

of Emmaus

Jane Owens Slick, 90, of Emmaus, died peacefully at home Nov. 18, 2024, surrounded by family. Born in Carbondale, to the late Gwendolyn (Lewis) and Roland Owens, she was predeceased by her husband, Paul, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage. She was the quintessential loving wife, mother and grandmother and was adored by all who knew her.

She was an avid reader, watercolor painter, swimmer and a very talented piano player. She also loved to cook, bake and entertain. She worked for many years as an office manager at a dental practice. Throughout her life, she volunteered for various organizations, most notably her local library. She and Paul loved dancing, playing bridge, attending concerts and traveling the world. Many of her favorite times were with family at their cottage at Lake Hauto and summer vacations at the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She was a bright light in life and her passing is a tremendous loss for us all. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by children: Michael, of Tyler, Texas, Matthew, of Emmaus and Nancy, of Coopersburg; grandchildren, Derek, Rebecca, Travis, Cory, Tyler, Ajay and Drew; 11 great- grandchildren; a sister, Susan; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul; her son, Andrew; sisters, Nancy and Diane; a brother, Jeffrey.

A memorial service will be held noon Dec. 4 at First Presbyterian Church, 3231 Tilghman St., Allentown. Visitation will precede the service 11-11:45 a.m. at the church.

Arrangements were made by Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
