Hokendauqua: Breakfast with Santa planned for Dec. 7

Hokey Athletic Association is partnering with Cementon Park and Playground to sponsor a breakfast with Santa 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Cementon Park pavilion, 5185 Dewey St. There is a cost.

Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church, 3300 Seventh St., will have a Christmas event — dubbed Making Spirits Bright — 7-9 p.m. Dec. 13 and 14.

Whitehall Historical Preservation Society welcomes you to an open house and holiday social 1-3 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Helfrich Springs Grist Mill and Peter Grim Homestead, 501 and 506 Mickley Road, respectively.

Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church will host a Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative free community meal 4-6 p.m. Dec. 17 for low-income Whitehall Township and Coplay Borough residents. Meals are guaranteed for the first 100 guests.

Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association and Hokendauqua Fire Company announced Operation Santa Claus will be held Dec. 21, starting 10 a.m.

HPPA is looking for volunteers. If you are interested in helping as an elf or driver, email president@hokeypark.com.

The rain date is set for Dec. 22.

A Christmas cantata will take place 10 a.m. Dec. 22 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Mickleys, 2918 MacArthur Road.

Front St. In addition to chili offered free of charge, specialty chilis were scored by a panel of judges, with the winners receiving awards. There were also people’s choice winners.
