SHS names student of the week

Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?

A. I am currently a senior at Salisbury High School.

Q. Who is in your family? Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.

A. My family consists of my mom, Teshia, my dad, Melvin, my stepdad, Xavier, my sisters, Taylor, Jaedyn, Miley and Mariya and my brother Xavier.

Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?

A. My favorite subject is biology because it helps us understand the world.

Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?

A. During the fall, I was captain of the girls varsity soccer team. I have been secretary of my class advisory for three years and will be secretary of Key Club for one year.

Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities?

A. I am involved in girls varsity soccer, varsity track and field, the Class of 2025 Advisory, Student Government Association, Key Club and National Honor Society.

Q. What is your next goal after high school?

A. After high school, I plan to further my education at a university.

Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?

A. My biggest challenge would be balancing my extracurricular activities and my academics.

Q. For what would you like to be remembered?

A. I would like to be remembered as someone who is kind and helps people when needed.

Q. If you could spend an evening conversing with any historically significant person, whom would you choose? Why?

A. I would spend an evening conversing with Joseph E. Murray, one of the 1990 Nobel Prize winners for his discoveries regarding organ transplantation. I think learning from and getting to know him would be interesting.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?

A. My advice for my peers is to continue trying your best in everything you do, especially what will help you achieve your dreams.
