Ademar Gomes, 72, of Bethlehem, died Nov. 26, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospice House. Born in Branca, Portugal, he was a son of the late Grive and Maria (Fonseca) Gomes. He was the husband of Maria (Ferriera) Gomes for 52 years.
He was a mechanic.
Involved in his community, he was a member of the Portuguese American Club, Bethlehem, advocating for families and helping them settle in the area.
He was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Claudio and Bruno and his wife Jennifer; two grandchildren, Elijah and Brianna; a brother, Rui DaSilva; three sisters, Lurdes Miguel, Amalia Moreira and Olga Nunes; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Joel Gomes.
