Art teacher Tracy Smoyer, along with Laura George’s first grade students, worked with high school students from Brooke Seiler’s art class on a special creature collaboration project.
The project began in the beginning of October and took about six weeks to complete.
High schoolers and first graders were paired up with buddies at the elementary school during art. They worked together to complete a prompt sheet determining their character’s name, likes, dislikes, and texture before using colorful markers, pencils, and pens to draw them.
High schoolers took the ideas back to their classroom and began creating a three dimensional version.
First graders visited their buddies during high school art and worked together on their creations before they were finished.
