Race benefit

The race, which benefits the YMCA’s programs, is held in memory of Debbie Linton, a Catasauqua High School athlete who died from breast cancer. The race was open to both runners and walkers.
The first wave of race participants, the runners, take off from the starting line prior to a second wave of walkers and a third wave of walkers with pets.
Race participants Matt Hollenbach and Julia Brubaker, of Catasauqua, grab a bite to eat at the complimentary breakfast area at North Catasauqua William J. Albert Memorial Park, 701 Grove St., after completing the race.

The third wave of participants get started, including, from left, Kim Brubaker with Ruby, Matt Hollenbach with Bentley and Julia Brubaker with Sadie, all of Catasauqua. Walkers completed an abbreviated distance of approximately 1 mile, while runners completed the full distance.
Against the backdrop of the scenic Lehigh River, the McCann family, of Catasauqua, is ready to run in the benefit race. Awaiting the race start are in front, from left, Kaleb, Ryan and Charlie with their parents, Christina and Emmett.
