Northampton Borough’s tree lighting will start 5:30 p.m. Dec. 1. This year, it will be held in the parking lot of the recreation center, 1 Lerchenmiller Drive.

Northampton Fire Department will hold its annual Santa Run Dec. 14, starting noon. Parents who would like their child to receive a gift from Santa should bring the gift to the station, 4 Lerchenmiller Drive, 6-8 p.m. Dec. 11, 12 or 14.

The gift should be wrapped and no bigger than a shoe box. The child’s name and address, as well as the parent’s phone number, should be clearly marked on the gift. The address must be within borough limits.

Santa will arrive on a firetruck on the day of the event.

As a reminder, orders from the nut roll sale at Assumption of the Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1301 Newport Ave., can be picked up at the church between 10 a.m. and noon Dec. 14.
