PTO to sponsor Holiday Shoppe

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all have a day filled with family, food and relaxation. I only have to cook the big meal every other year now and this is my year off. It has its pros and cons. I don’t have all the stress but we also don’t have any leftovers. Which would you prefer?
Salisbury Township district schools are closed Nov. 27 through Dec. 2. Enjoy the family time!
There will be a school board reorganization meeting 7 p.m. Dec. 4. That will be immediately followed by an operations/finance committee meeting 7:30 p.m. and then followed by the monthly school board meeting 8:30 p.m.
Salisbury Elementary School PTO is again sponsoring the Holiday Shoppe for our students. Evening hours will be 6-8 p.m. Dec. 6. Each class will have time to shop during school hours between Dec. 9-12. The PTO gives each student $1 to spend but the rest is up to you. Isn’t it fun to see what your kids pick out for everyone?
SES welcomed the new librarian this past week. Angela Hagenbuch joins us from Allentown School District where she worked at Mosser Elementary. Welcome Angela!
The Salisbury High School winter concert will be held 7 p.m. Dec. 5. Participants include students, staff and alumni. Come to SHS and support the arts.
Salisbury High School winter sports are just about to start. The first home boys basketball game is Dec. 3 vs. Pen Argyl and the first home girls game is Dec. 12 vs. Jim Thorpe. Now it’s time to come to SHS and support student athletics.
Yard waste drop-offs will be closed for the season after Nov. 30. The Franko site will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 30. Franko and Devonshire will open again in April 2025.
