Editor’s Note: A call to The Press questioned the removal of trees near the Emmaus Public Library. Borough Manager Shane Pepe told The Press no live or healthy trees were removed. The removed trees were dead or diseased and spreading those diseases to other trees. The dead trees had no growth for three to four years. A total of 12 to 15 trees were removed.
