PRESS PHOTO BY JIM MARSHGerald Royer is recognized Nov. 9, as the longest-serving crew member of the Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company, at the fire company’s 65th anniversary service recognition dinner in downtown Allentown. In addition to recognizing Royer’s 47 years of service, fire company president Adam Al-Khal, left and Chief Joshua Wells, right announce the training room at the fire company’s newly rebuilt Swain Station will be named after Royer. In addition to serving in various capacities with the fire company over the years, Royer was the coordinator of the building’s construction with the construction management company and building contractors.
