Carl R. Haas Sr., 89, formerly of Emmaus, died Nov. 14, 2024, at the Lutheran Home in Topton. Born in Coopersburg, he was the son of the late Harry J. and Annie (Burky) Haas. He was married to Eleanor R. (Weidner) Haas for many years before her passing March 5, 2023.

He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the Teamsters, working a lengthy career as a truck driver until retirement.

He was a member of Chestnut Hill Church, Coopersburg.

He is survived by his son, Carl R. Jr., of Mertztown; daughter, Beverly Haas-Keim and her husband, Donald L. Keim Jr. of Oley; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was the last survivor of his nine siblings.

A memorial service will be held noon Nov. 30 at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus. A calling period will be held 11:30 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
