Springhouse students ‘Take a Stand’ against bullying

Springhouse Middle School students attended a school program titled “Take a Stand” on Oct. 7.

“Take a Stand” is designed to reduce bullying, harassment and cyberbullying, as well as any form of exclusion of an individual from a popular group or activity. Students took part in team building events to build confidence and camaraderie among their peers. The Take a Stand program included music by the Springhouse Middle School faculty and staff band in the auditorium, along with discussions of what is meant by bullying.

Other events included team building exercises in the back parking lot and the gymnasium.

There was a game of cooperative tic-tac-toe in the parking lot and a game of “Heads, Shoulders, CUPS” in the gym.

All this is designed to increase cooperation between the students.
