Margaret N. Plessl, 88, formerly of Orefield, died Nov. 14, 2024, in Baptist Health Hardin Hospital, Elizabethtown, Ky.

She was the wife of the late Robert J. Plessl.

Born Sept. 27, 1936, in Orefield, she was the daughter of the late Wilson J. and Ida C. (Newhard) Shankweiler.

She was a processor at Jaindl Farms Inc., Orefield, for more than 40 years before retiring in 2019.

She was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, South Whitehall.

Her survivors include sons Parnell R. Plessl and his wife, Cheryl, of Elizabethtown, and Boyd R. Plessl and his wife, Jane, of Lansing, Kansas; sister Lucille N. Simock and her husband, Ronald, of Neffs; grandchildren Trevor, Tyler, Jackson and Charles; and great-granddaughter Tenley.

She was predeceased by her brother, Henry C. Shankweiler.
